Many of us choose to cancel due to budget strains or a lack of Audible credits. Whatever your reason, we’re here to help!

Before we show you how to cancel an Audible membership, here are a few things to remember:

  • Use all your credits. Any you’ve got left will be gone when you say goodbye. So, grab any audiobooks you fancy before hitting the cancel button.
  • Download your stuff. After canceling, you can still get to the audiobooks you’ve already got, but only when online. To make sure you can listen offline, download them now.
  • If you aren’t sure about canceling, no worries. You can pause your Audible membership for a bit and take a break without losing anything.
  • When you’re canceling, Audible might try to keep you around by offering a freebie or giving you a discount. Give it some thought and see if it’s worth staying for.

For anyone who doesn’t have the “Cancel” button on the desktop version, you may have purchased it on your apple store, and it can only be canceled from your app store subscriptions. I just figured this out! 🙂

Why can’t I just call customer support and cancel my subscription instead of having to go through a long process? You make it difficult to cancel the subscription. Make it easier please, very frustrating.

I wanted to join month by month but instead got charged for the whole year. When I tried to cancel it said I was enrolled until March 2024. All a mistake. I would like a refund.
I phoned once and gave all info and the operator said her computer was needing a reboot and she would call me back. She never did.

I need to cancel my membership for this year, at least. But I don’t understand the following:
“Do you keep books if you cancel Audible?
You’ll still be able to access books and titles you purchased with credits but not streamable content.” What do you mean by “streamable content”. Aren’t the 100+ audio books I have purchased over the nearly 10 years, “streamable”?? Won’t I have access to the books I have bought through my credits??
