I selected the 30 day free trial, and set an alarm for the 26th day to make sure I canceled before the 30th day.
It wouldn’t let me in because I didn’t know the zip code for the acct. Apparently a previous owner of this tv had an account. I selected the 30 day free trial on the tv screen with my own debit card # and password and email address etc. Why its not “mine”, but connected to some unknown person is weird. Called Amazon Customer Service, told them the whole story and problem and that they took $8.99 from my debit card and to please Cancel Me NOW. They instructed me to go back to that tv, Cancel the Prime membership with the steps they gave me and then call back to Amazon and my money will be returned. I followed all instructions but there is NO MEMBERSHIP in my name!! No account in my name so there’s nothing to Cancel. Now I have to call customer service and start all over. They just took another $8.99 payment today, thats the second payment. Why can’t they just use my Debit Card # to “find” my account. They have no problem with taking money from it. This sucks

We’re sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. It sounds like a genuine mix-up with the account associated with your TV. We’d recommend reaching out to Amazon Customer Service again and explaining the situation in detail. Since they have your debit card information, they should be able to assist you in resolving this issue and refunding any unauthorized charges. Be persistent, and hopefully, they’ll be able to sort it out for you soon.

Well I’ve tried every way but the buttons don’t seem to work so I just had the idea of asking Alexa to cancel it! She came up and did it straight away! I was a bit cynical but I’ve received the confirmation email.
